Campervan and RV Rental in Rome

Rome is an area rich with history and tradition set in the heart of Italy. Built on the Tiber River, the Roman countryside and the broader Lazio region are tranquil and delightful for adventurers looking to experience something a little different in their campervan rental.

Campervan and RV rental in Rome is an excellent way to explore the outdoors of Rome and the Lazio region. The "Eternal City" puts you close to beautiful coastlines, national parks, and other unique attractions that are a short journey away in your campervan rental.

Rome National Parks

Campervan or RV rental from Rome can bring you closer to some exceptional national parks.

Just south of Rome, you can find the National Park of Circeo. The park is named after one of Rome's most famous emperors and is full of appropriate majesty. Check out the dunes, explore the woodlands, or have a picnic surrounded by unspoiled nature.

Moving out of Lazio, the national park of Abruzzo is one of Italy's best national parks. Mountains, valleys, and incredible flora and fauna are a few highlights of this natural paradise. The park is full of areas to explore and is home to bears, wolves, and red deer.

Finally, you can find the national park of Gran Sasso and the mountain range of Monti della Laga in the nearby area of Teramo.  The park has three mountain ranges, endless hikes, beaches, gondolas, and skiing. It's truly unmissable.

Rome Coastlines, Lakes, and Rivers

The Roman coastline has some excellent beaches. Each is accessible with a campervan or RV rental from Rome. There is a lot of variety too. Fregene has a chic beach scene, Santa Severa is family-friendly, and Sperlonga is picturesque.

Lake Bracciano is unmissable. It's one of the stops on our Central Italy Road Trip , for some great reasons. Swimming, sailing, and stunning views: Bracciano has it all.

The Lake of Fogliano is another great spot you can find when renting a campervan in Rome. It's great for hikes and picnics and even has buffalo and horses.

Finally, the Tiber river is worth seeing. It cuts through Rome and out into the countryside. Boat tours, rafting, and cruises are just a few possibilities that await campervan or RV rental tourists.

The Aniene River and Flora River are two other regional highlights. The Aniene is known for canoeing, hiking, and the Lake of San Benedetto, while the Flora river is perfect for fishing and stunning scenery.

Campgrounds in Rome

Campervan or RV rental from Rome means you can access the stunning natural surroundings of Lazio and other nearby regions like Abruzzo, Marche, and Umbria. Thankfully, there are many great campervans and RV-friendly campgrounds. However, because Rome is a popular holiday destination, booking ahead is crucial to ensure you have a place to rest.

Agrifoglio del Ciroletto is close to the Abruzzo National Park. While it's not the largest campsite, it does have all the facilities you need for a campervan or motorhome stay.

The Club Degli Amici Camping Village is an excellent coastal campsite. It's a family-friendly spot with fantastic facilities and plenty of space for your campervan. If you like sailing or kitesurfing, campsites don't get much better than this.

The ISOLA VERDE Camping Village is another fantastic option, set within a 120-acre pine forest. It has everything you need for an extended stay, including restaurants, a pool, a gym, entertainment, and more.
